I see where Aimpoint made a "Aimpoint CS" model a few years ago. I like the fact that this model has built iron sights on top of the scope. The only thing I dont care for is the Battery is NOT user replaceable. It must be sent back to the factory.

Does Aimpoint make anyother models with a iron sights attacted? I couldnt find anything on their website.

Re: Aimpoint Red Dot question

Make no mistake, optic-mounted sights DO NOT replace good BUIS. The sight radius is a might short for anything other than "very CQB". My SpectreDR has them . . . very limited.

Since you are looking at Aimpont, check out the PRO (patrol rifle optic) - great little sight for ~ $400.

No shit? I never did think about it that way regarding the sight distance. I was looking at it for more of a convience to rear BUIS...

Thanks for the info!
