Suppressors All I can say is WOW! TBAC Cans are amazing!

I recently ordered the Thunderbeast 338BA via the Group buy. Well it arrived to my dealer on Thursday and him being the great dealer that he is we went out and did some shooting today. I attached the brakes to both my R700 in .308, and my AIAW in 338. fired a couple rounds out the the 308 to get zeroed and then threaded on the can. I Pulled the trigger and i swear i could have head a mouse fart. the Dealer not being experienced with Thunderbeast was Blown away. The kid two lans down that was shooting his 10/22 and reveling in the fact he had the quietest gun at the range almost started to cry. I have shot suppressed rifles before, granted they are all my friends and most have been AAC cans, however there is something about the 338 BA that is magical. thinking that it was all that extra volume from it being a 338 can on a 308 we mounted it up to the 338 lapua. and same deal still quieter than the .22 two lanes down. and no concussion. I think i sat for 5 minutes laughing in disbelief. the biggest difference between the two rifles was how fast it heated up. Here is a huge +1 for TBAC.

Thunder Beast makes some great suppressors.

I have their 338BA, 30BA, and 30BAS. I often have suppressed shooters come up to me at the range and ask what I am shooting, because the TB cans are so much quieter than what they are shooting.

I agree, I have a 30P-1 that I run on my .308 and I love it! I actually got an extra 120fps of velocity on a 20" barrel after I put the can on.

? quieter than his SUPPRESSED 22, or UNsuppressed? also were you using subsonic 308s?

They make a great suppressor! Own several of them. But the 338LM is not going to be more quiet then a 22 rifle.

Subsonic ammo would be the difference maker though.

An unsuppressed .22LR rifle is around 150 dB FYI

Agreed with the OP. I have the 30P-1 and I have a 223a on form 3 to my dealer.

That seems like a lot. I've heard of 15-30 but not 120 fps.

I thought so too, but I checked it with the chronograph and verified my drops out to 550 yards. I went from 2570fps to 2690fps with 175gr SMK.

okay so let me be more specific. I was using the 338BA can on my .308 win, shooting 185gn Bergers at 2600 fps. it seemed quieter than the UNsuppressed .22 LR. The 338 Lapua was marginally louder about on par with the UNsuppressed .22LR. Some of it might be me being new to shooting suppressed. but either way I wanted to give TBAC a huge +1.

no worries I should have been more clear from the get go. I know how people get around here if you leave a single variable out. the main thing i was doing though was trying to say way to go TBAC !! I am sold on their suppressors.

TBAC is way up there in performance and construction for sure. I really like their products.
