Why do think we live by these rules?
That may be indictative of Portland and the Pacific Northwest, but thats not what I see on a daily basis and I have an elementary and middle school within a few blocks with kids walking by everyday. I also noticed you only minded being called a hippy and not a Lib.
</div></div>
Going hungry and eating like a slob have little to do with one another. I've been eating at a calorie surplus for the last 6 months, and I manage not to eat like a pig. I just finished a bowl of oatmeal with steak and eggs and a half an avacado in it.
No sugar involved, and I won't be "going hungry".
What state/city do you live in? It's safe to say that unless it's bucking your state trend you've had a sharp incline in childhood obesity, just like the rest of most of America. If not congratulations you're in rare form compared to most of the rest of the country.
The reason I didn't respond to you calling me a liberal is obviously because I don't want to devolve into some part of a political discussion. That I should be educating someone who's calling ME a liberal about personal responsibility and respecting the rules of the forum wouldn't be all that ironic, if it weren't for the fact that we're discussing the eating habits which are leading to skyrocketing healthcare costs due to poor personal choices.
How feigning ignorance to argue on behalf of people exercising poor eating choices dragging our country down classifies a champion value of personal responsibility I can't quite fathom, but call me whatever names you want in the end it's all in the eye of the beholder. I'll take it about as seriously as I take any of the liberals I know calling me conservative.
These labels mean nothing to someone with no hard on for campaign slogans or party names, and this enriches the discussion in no way.
Go get your donuts and keep thinking you're showing the liberals who's boss by stuffing your face with garbage. Good luck with that. In the end your life is your own and how you choose to live it is yours best of luck. </div></div>

The first post was meant in jest, ie: the smiley faces. The second post was also, NEVER GET WET, NEVER GO HUNGRY, and ALWAYS GO HOMES is an old adage of policemen. It means you stay dry and out of the rain, you always know where to get a good meal on your beat, and you stay safe so you can go home and kiss your kids at night.
Since you apparently believe that you should impose your will upon other under the guise of motivation with this thread; I get it, fat people make you disgusted, your a psuedo health nut, disguised as a body builder. Your the guy that would be pissed if the airline told you to get off the plane because because you took up to much space - whine - but I am in shape not fat! You think what you do is the only way, you obviously feel that parents don't raise their children right, McDonald's is at fault, and the government should regulate anything unhealthy, and friends aren't friends unless they are being that annoying ass in the gym yelling at his buddy.
<span style="font-style: italic">If you have overweight friends you're not a good friend for pretending they're ok. THey're not ok they need motivation from people that care about them to get their shit together.</span>
So I will ask again, and think about very carefully before you answer. Are you a lib? You don't need to answer out loud, keep it to yourself so we don't devolve this wonderful thread into a political debate. Referencing your original post, is quite a contrast to the other thread you started worring that the same government is going to take your guns when your not home. Really, I mean really, you want to enjoy the right to Bear Arms, but you want to deprive the rights of others to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. If that person's idea of happiness is sitting on the couch, stuffing his face with cheeseburgers, and playing XBox, then thats his choice. To say that your insurance premiums are going up because of this is asinine. One can make the same arguement regarding the guy who is going to the gym everyday, eating whole grains, nuts and berries, because he is extending the lifespan which creates an increase on the already overburdened and almost bankrupt Social Security taxes, Medicare, Medicaid, and retirments, all draining on us the taxpayer because he just wouldn't die. Hell maybe, just maybe, we could start demoralizing the students who don't make a B or better, because they are a drain on the taxpayer, they are not living up to their potential causing us to invest more money into the school systems.
I choose to stay in shape, and that is my choice. Heres an idea, its called personal responsability. If everyone worried about themselves and less on what everyone else is doing, it would be a hell of a place.
So again Lighten up Francis
