AMP Press BETA

Will have to see what parameters can be set and monitored.

If it’s just seating pressure, the only upside will be that you don’t have to worry with pulling a lever or blowing a gauge. Otherwise, you can see the same thing on a gauge.

I’m hoping there is a way to set some sort of alarm. Like an alarm if it isn’t in say 40-60psi (or whatever unit they use). That way I can just be mindlessly seating and I’ll get an alarm or message when a round is outside of the parameters.

Unless it offers some sort of extra parameters, it won’t really change what we can already do. Just make it a bit easier physically and easier to track over time.

I’m going to get one. But I don’t expect it to show much of a difference on paper compared to my current hydro press.

I'm sure all kinds of parameters can be programmed in. I'm just a sucker for nerdy stuff. I'd also like not having to stare at the gauge and not blink...wait...I missed that one...it felt normal...

I don't expect it to really translate to a difference on steel....atleast not 1760 and in....but it may translate to paper...and I'm the weird one that likes shooting 1 mile paper.

2021 is already looking more expensive than 2020 was for me....but it's only money...and we only have so much time on this earth to enjoy ourselves....might as well treat ourselves good.

Where you shooting paper at a mile at?

Where you shooting paper at a mile at?

Close to you ;) Thunder Valley Precision when they hold a Global Benchrest Association event. 1 Mile benchrest....woo hoo!!

Also, on the ELR matches...one stage is a 5 shot group on paper at 1 mile. Challenging...and humbling to those that have never shot a group at a mile.
