Everyone originally thought Chapo's son Ivan was the one behind the murder of Chino Antrax. Several years ago, Ivan and Chino got in a fistfight at a club and Chino got the best of Ivan. Ivan wanted to kill him for the infraction but couldn't get permission due to Chino's importance in Mayo Zambada's faction. So the grudge has never dissipated and after Chino turned rat, and then escaped off house arrest to return to Sinaloa and get back in business, everyone thought it was Chapo's son(s) who exacted revenge since they'd now have the greenlight...
Its now come to light that aint the case. As said, Chino escaped off house arrest, returned to Sinaloa and tried to get back in business.
He requested an audience with his former boss, Mayo Zambada, to get back in with the cartel. But due to Chino's obvious .fed cooperation, they said no dice(its even highly speculated/very likely Zambada's son Serafin was arrested due to Chino's cooperation). Chino didn't want to take no for an answer, and eventually got to sit down with El Ruso, one of Mayo Zambada's top hitmen.
They were worried he was on some type of mission from the DEA to get Zambada's location. Apparently, Ruso's men had a radio scanner, scanned Chino, and found some sort of tracking/GPS device on him. Chino, his sister, and his brother-in-law were shortly after shot into ribbons.
