This is my newest toy. GAP built by Moon 300 RUM on a Stiller Predator Action. Bought off of a Hide member here on the rifle trader boards. Shoot's 1.25 groups on a regular basis at 400 yards using 96.0 grains of H50 and Berger's 210's. I'm still looking for info on the SMK 240's as the math looks like it will be a lot easier to get out to a mile with them. Recoil with the BO break is like a stout 308 load. Muzzle blast is a bitch for anyone on either side of this beast. Can't wait until our new mile long range is open for use. Donald

Re: Another GAP in the house

Shot her today. Got some speed data on Berger 210's. So far H50BMG is safe up to 94.0 grains. Only did a latter test on these for pressure signs.

Bergers are

210 Target VLD soft seated. Fed 215 primer. Remington Brass. 96.5 of H50BMG. Velocity at 10" from muzzle averaged for Five shots 2921 FPS

210 Target VLD tight neck tension. WLRM primer. Remington Brass. 84.0 VV N170. Velocity at 10" from muzzle averaged for five shots 3128 FPS

No signs as of yet for exsesive pressure. Both loads are about 5 grains short of a max load. So looks like I've got room to work up some faster loads. Donald

kyshooter338 you think? I'm sure I don't know what you mean.
It sure is a nice scope I tell you.

exhogflier (A10s?) It is a Manners. Jewel trigger. Bartlien 1 and 10 barrel. Single shot so no bottom metal to speak of. I think the scope rail is a Stiller but looks like BO so it's a close copy if not. Only thing I've changed is the bolt knob (need to paint it) as the one on it was rather small shaped like a tear drop. Not very comfortable at all. The one on it came from Midway and was on sale for 9 bucks. It's Aluminum and not very fancy but works much better. I think I want an APA Fat Bastard break next. This one directs some gas back to the shooter. It's a little distracting when your ball cap gets blown off your head.

95.0 of H50BMG with 240 SMK's and 98.0 of H50BMG and Berger 210's both produced nice groups at 400 and appear to be safe loads at 71 degrees. Did not test velocity just wanted to see how the brass would behave. Still looking for max load. Donald
