I am thinking about changing to Hodgdon's H1000 extreme powder for my 338. The two bullets that I use are 300 SMKs and Bore-Tech's 245 high BC banded brass bullets. Does anyone have experience with this powder? I am mainly interested if MV remains relatively the same over a wide temp range.

I'm a 1:12" Sako guy, so the 250s are it for me.

This being said, I like H-4831sc, VV-165 and VV-170. I have loaded up 20 rounds, a while back, with the 250s and H-1000 and the four groups printed well enough at 100 yds for me to fiddle some more with it, but I bought an 8# jug of H-4831sc, so until that's gone, H-1000 will have to wait.

I'm in Miami so the temps are fairly stable throughout the year.
