Obviously older style Reminton But it has an X stamped on it. 40X perharps? Any help or explanation will be appreciated.

First generation 700 trigger group(staked housing pins) w/ second generation round knob bolt lock safety.
First generation bolt lock safety lever being the oval knob type.
Second generation trigger group housing pins are the "dome head" rivet style.
