Any photoshop ninjas here?

I need to use a few old pictures for something but they have an old watermark on them we no longer use.

Can anyone expertly get rid of this? I've been screwing around in paint and GIMP for the last 2 hours and realize I totally suck at this.

Are they high resolution pictures? What format are they in? Was the watermark origionally added in Photoshop? If so do you have access to the original PSD file?

They're pretty boring pictures.

But the ninja's made it happen.

Probably because a red flag pops up whenever someone requests to have watermarks removed. Plus, i haven't fucked around with Photoshop in a few years. MS Paint works just fine for me.
