Sidearms & Scatterguns Anybody have a new FDE Glock from Lipsey's?

Looking at maybe getting a FDE G21, but wondering about the actual color. Anybody have one yet that can compare Glock's version of flat dark earth with someone else's like Magpul?

All the pics I've seen online look more like doo-doo brown.

It's more of a brown color when compared to the glock od. I have handled about 8 so far that have left my buddies shop in a fast manner. I like the color i'm thinking of getting one in the model 19.

Ok, so it sounds like it's not camera trickery that they appear to be a darker brown than other companies' versions of FDE. I'll mull it over some more then, thanks for the input.

I really liked the old OD frames, too bad they never made the 21SF and 20SF in OD.

Want I'm really wanting to do is buy a FDE G21 gen 4 and then buy another G20 upper half and make myself the colored frame G20SF I always wanted. I'll hang out and see if the gen 4 10mm is available in FDE when it gets released. I really don' have much use for another 45. Can't seem to get over Glock's 10mm's though, I've owned several.

It's very, very similar to the original Glock OD/Tan color that was previously released, but slightly darker and browner.

We received 25 in this morning, and half were gone by nightfall.

I don't think it's going to come anywhere close to matching any of the Magpul color tones. It's about halfway between OD Green and Magpul FDE, could almost go in either direction.

I would snag one off Gunbroker, Lipseys price is insane.
Cool looking though, a gen 4 19 may be in my future.

On top is the old OD. To the right is the new FDE. On the bottom is a PRS stock in Magpuls' FDE. It is more brown but I still like it.

I think that Lipseys price is MSRP. I paid $499 for the Gen 3 G19 in FDE. There are definitely some dealers out there trying to capitalize on them though. Locally there is a dealer getting MSRP. Gunbroker would be a good bet.

That Glock FDE looks more like Cerekote Patriot Brown/FDE. The Magpul FDE looks more Cerekote Coyote/FDE to me.

Don't have one, but this one really wanted to go home and occupy my Desert Digital Camo holster.
