Just wondering what the opinion is on it. Thinking about one for a 30-06, to have the ability to adjust elev on it more than I do right now (It's got a Sightron SI). It's currently sighted in at 200 yds for hunting but I'm curious to play with pushing it out farther and I don't really want to take scopes off my other rifles to tinker with.

Any opinions?

I've got one and think for the money, it's a great scope. Their customer service is no BS. If something breaks, the fix it or replace it.

That being said, I originally bought a used gen 3 model. The windage knob had a slight cant to it. It didn't really affect anything for my uses, but it bothered me. I called Matt Wonders and he replaced it with a new gen 4 model. I used the gen 4 for several months before the ring that attaches to the main tube with the windage indication marks broke loose. Once again, I got in touch with Matt and he sent me a new gen 5.

I've only mounted the gen 5 so far. Haven't had a chance to get to the range yet but glass seems to be on par or better than anything else in this price range I've looked at. The gen 4 I had tracked perfectly so I don't ecpect to have any issues with the gen 5.

Yeah I read somewhere that the turret housing(I think thats what its called?) is larger to allow for mor internal adjustment and also allow more room for better side focusing. Also the turrets are painted half white half red so you know which way you are turning which I think is pretty cool.

Sounds okay as long as the "new" design is as reliable and accurate as the gen4's were claimed to be.

I corresponded with Matt at WOTAC and he said they are sold out right now, but should be done building a new batch in a week and a half.

What failed on the Gen4? Curious to hear, I'm still thinking about one to play around with but I hate to waste money on complete crap that breaks and doesn't function.

The eye piece came loose, and when I tried to tighten it back up, the magnification ring would not adjust. The scope lost all ability to maintain a zero, and the parallax had to be set almost all the way to infinity to see the 100 yard target with any clarity. The scope had catastrophic failure. I was unable to see .430inch holes at full power (14x I think). I called Matt at Wonder optics, and he said that there was an issue with the first batch or so of the Gen IV scopes. I have not mounted the new scope he sent, but the customer service was great. The Scope was mounted on a Ruger 77/44 that was suppressed shooting subsonic loads (kicks less than a .243).
