What failed on the Gen4? Curious to hear, I'm still thinking about one to play around with but I hate to waste money on complete crap that breaks and doesn't function. </div></div>
The eye piece came loose, and when I tried to tighten it back up, the magnification ring would not adjust. The scope lost all ability to maintain a zero, and the parallax had to be set almost all the way to infinity to see the 100 yard target with any clarity. The scope had catastrophic failure. I was unable to see .430inch holes at full power (14x I think). I called Matt at Wonder optics, and he said that there was an issue with the first batch or so of the Gen IV scopes. I have not mounted the new scope he sent, but the customer service was great. The Scope was mounted on a Ruger 77/44 that was suppressed shooting subsonic loads (kicks less than a .243).
