Anyone else have this problem? (AICS mags)

While working up some loads for my .308 I had an empty 10rd AICS magazine in. I noticed every few shots (2-3) I had to push the base plate back in. It snaps into place like it should but walks out every time I shoot. I dont know if it does it while loaded, I normally use Alpha Mags. Is this normal or should I "reinforce" it.

Is the magazine resting on the mat when you shoot? If so then that's the problem. The body is recoiling but the base plate is being held in place. I have had this happen when shooting off obstacles at matches.

I've seen it too.

Small manufacturing defect, easily fixed most of the time with a better divot as mentioned above.

AFAIC, it should NEVER happen even if the floorplate is resting on concrete when the rifle is fired.

USGI AR15 and M14 mags don't do it, so for the price of AICS mags, I'd be shamefaced embarrassed over each such report.

Ill punch the divot in deeper and wrap it in camo tape. I wans't paying attention if it was bumping the mat under recoil, that could have been possible.
