I can do it then. I can tell you already that it feels identical to the M&P 9 FS I shoot some in competition. I could also tell with bulkpack Thunderbolt ammo that the recoil is very similiar to my downloaded 9mm ammo. I pretty sure I am gonna modify the front sight to accept a fiber optic. So far, Im impressed with it but will let u know after a full review this weekend with 1k or so rounds thru it.

Please! With as much detail as you have time to share...

I was thrilled when I heard Smith was coming out with the M&P22... until I found out Umarex was making it for them...

(ugly visions of P22 begin dancing in in my head). I'd love to find out this pistol is worthy of the M&P names as I've really been wanting a reliable 22 trainer with similar ergos. If this turns out to be it S&W will have a home run but I have to admit to being a bit skeptical based on Umarex's past...Here's hopin' otherwise!

Re: Anyone interested in and M&P 22 complete review?

i have one, it's a great little gun. the only thing i'd like is an option to not have the thumb safety. but since it does have one, i think it needs more positive feedback when you engage and disengage it. but i've run a couple hundred rounds through mine and it's been great. ergonomics are exactly like a regular M&P handgun.

do you noticed that when loading the mags, sometimes the rounds try to almost double stack? i wish they would have designed it w/ a double stack mag to begin with, they could easily then fit 20rounds in there.

oh also, it uses a P22 thread adapter and shooting it suppressed is very nice as well. works flawlessly. i'm going to see how dirty i can get it before it just stops on me.

Re: Anyone interested in and M&P 22 complete review?

I basically have only put 3 mags thru it to sight it in. The three things i noticed that I wish was different are the mag safety, as u said, more feedback from the thumb safety(I noticed that right off), and the trigger safety shoe extends out further than on my FS and compact pistols. Im gonna put some serious rounds thru it this weekend and give a full review. I appreciate ur insight as well.

Re: Anyone interested in and M&P 22 complete review?

.22 double stack wouldn't really work. The rims would be in the way with each other.

I'm interested to hear how it runs with cheap, bulk pack ammo from wally world or similar, and the cost.

Re: Anyone interested in and M&P 22 complete review?

are these available from the factory with a threaded barrel? If you are using a P22 thread adaptor, did you have the barrel threaded by a local gunsmith? Any chance of posting an M&P22 with the threaded end exposed? Really intrigued by the M&P22 suppressed. My LGS is really pushing me to get a suppressor ordered up.
