Anyone run a 22x6mm or 224 TTH?

I have a 22-6mm Ackley Imp that does well with the 80gr Amax. I am still fireforming brass so I expect it to get better yet. I am using 47gr of Viht N165 and Fed 210M primers behind the 80gr Amax for a fireforming load and getting 3320fps. This load gives groups of 1/2" or less, I like it.

22-6 are flat shooters, great varmit round. I use the Berger 90gr vld and target bullets. I have been using retumbo and a buddy of mine uses H1000 with good success. I'm pushing the 90 grainers at 3220 with the retumbo.

H1000 works excellent. With the bergers I shoot its punching small holes. The 80gr amax is a different story though.

I would imagine that the 80gn v-max likes to really get messy. Problem is, that I haven't seen those available in quite a while. I guess the hunt is on. Would you mind sharing your load data on the 80 Amax and 90 bergers? Thx in advance.

Huck, I have a 22-243Win and it has really grown on me. So much so, that I had Kasey built me and a couple coyote hunting pards up with 22-243AIs.
Our modest fire form load is 3265fps with an 80 Amax using RL-22 and it ground checks coyotes with gusto! Surprisingly, there is not much carnage either, seen the same thing with a 75 Amax from my straight 22-243.
This an exit from a quartering to shot with 80 Amax from my 22-243AI, pretty fur friendly...

A full house 22-243AI load with an 80 Amax is up over 3500 with RL-22, on par with a 224TTH in performance. I am sold on the killing ability and ballistics of these fast twist .224s. I'm running RL-25 in my vanilla 22-243...

Only problem is that 75/80gn Amax are on the endangered species list.

I'll be headed that way in June for a prarie dog hunt in Colorado. Must be nice to have another 8lbs coming. I can't find any near me.

I run it in both of my 300's, and had stocked up before the silliness started. Then I lucked into this recent 8# from a buddy who went a different direction on a project. If you make it over towards McAlester,OK I can maybe swing something.
