Applied Ballistics Book: Second Edition

Re: Applied Ballistics Book: Second Edition

Bryan have a question for you, Is there any effect on stability if the loaded round has any runout? For instance if a round has .004 runout and is launched, is the centerline on which it rotates .004 off true center or does the spin correct it's self and fly true to its axis after a certain distance? Does it just take longer to stabilize? Or does the runout compound on top of the pitch and yaw immideately and never recover?
