I had an upper built for my AR-10 awhile ago with a SS Krieger barrel. Just got it to the range and have some issues. The bolt does not go to battery on some ammo. It seems to like Federal Match and M118 LR more than most. The others get stuck in the chamber. Occasionally the Fed and M118 stick also. Any ideas? All components are new.

On the ammo that won't go into battery...
Measure headspace of that ammo compared to the ammo that reliably chambers prior to firing. Is there a notable difference between the two?
Was the bolt used to set headspace when chambering or was the a finished barrel/extension used with a random bolt?
Adequate lube on the lugs?
Just some ideas.

Sounds like some one cut the headspace real short or used a reamer that might be a match type reamer for 168's or palma's 155's
