I'm wondering what kind of performance I should expect out of my armalite AR-10T. 24". I'm consitantly getting over 2500fps. with re-15. and the sierra 175g hpbt. I can easily hold under an moa with this load. I'm going to try varget to see how much my velocity will change.
My only concern is how much deviation I'm getting, around 70 fps with this load.

Is this much deviation normal with a gas gun?

What are your results?

Where can I improve?

All opinions are welcome.

Re: AR-10 reloading???

You can get a 175 up to and over 2700fps on a 10T... It takes too long to type it all. Feel free to call me tomorrow. You'll find my number in my website below.

Later tater.

Re: AR-10 reloading???

I'm not trying to set any type of record velocity. I'm trying to acheive a reliable consitant load that's not going to tear my gun up. My thought is, why do I need to reach such a high velocity when I can reach my desired range with a lower one? My goal is to shoot to 800 yards. If I can reach a 1000 that's just a bonus. I've done the math and from what I can tell, 2600 will get me to 800 no problem and the bullet will still be supersonic.
Good enough.
