I don’t use any sort of electronic software to get my dope. I just shoot and keep holding over on my duplex reticle until I hit the target. Then I draw my hold on a rock with wet ash.
Oh wait, sorry, I don’t use electronic field tech to get my holds because I am old school. I use pen and paper, like a man. I just print off my charts online and then write in my true data. lol
(Full disclosure I use both hard and electronic means of data collection... because I’m a smart millennial.)
No matter who you are, technological advancements have affected every aspect of your lives. You can’t get mad at one piece of tech and use it to condemn a generation. That’s just ignorant. As stupid as that faucet may be, it came about from creative experimentation. Creativity is essential to life, however that doesn’t mean every creative idea/product is useful or practical.

If an able-bodied individual is unable to change their own tire, that is the fault of the parent for not teaching them how to do so. It also falls on the parent for not instilling the drive to problem solve. Obviously the shit head with the flat is to blame as well, but whatever.
We forget who raised these whiners. I'm a millenial and I'm raising my girlfriend's son the same way I was raised. You have no one to blame but yourself for anything that you don't like in your life. We can also say it's the school systems fault for "indoctrinating" our kids at school into liberal thinking, but where were the parents to teach them how to think for themselves after school? Just like I was raised, if there is something wrong with your kid, look in the mirror first.

i believe the issue runs deeper than just parents. at what age do you hold the young adult responsible for their actions and choices? I don't care how you're raised, at some point in life, you know the difference between right and wrong. granted some kids had this beat into them and some kids had sit down talks with "inside voices". There's so much trash that influences a young adult into making a decision almost daily. a lot of teens grow up with no father figures or mother figures and I'm sure that's mentally challenging but at what age do you not let that determine your outcome in life?

I worked hard to build a home and make sure my bills are paid on time. life isn't easy sometimes but I don't run and look for a safe place. the world changed and the people changed with it. what use to be normal is now frowned upon. America got Soft.

I'm tough but love them. The benefit of raising them on my own.....my rules and lots of talks about life at dinner. A great deal of it is social media AND a great deal of it is the household and the rules. The reality is that the 'good times' have been going almost continuously since 1945. (1953 if you were in Europe...).
Cold Wars, recessions, Vietnam, GWOT, the Disco Era... sucked for the few. But for most, it has been a 70-year boom through three, maybe four generations as each forgot what real suckage meant.
For Americans, the "Good Times have Rolled" since the depression ended in 1940 and the war jobs opened up and, yes, I include WW2 which affected directly a very small percentage (even including families). For the majority, it was jobs, money, boom times in the war economy. Yes, there was rationing, but there was massive hoarding and black markeetering, too. And it's been a giant kegger since August 1945.
When hard times come, they will be hard times. Really hard times. Not 'let's put off the tropical vacation cruise a year' or 'let's not get a new truck this year.' But Depression-level hard times. And people in the Depression didn't depend on voice activated faucets and iPhones. They still knew how to plant gardens. They knew how to hunt. They dug ditches and sold apples made the Hoover Dam with their bare knuckles. They could read a map. Hitchhike. Ride a train. Sew their clothes. Fix a motor.
It will come. Probably not in our lifetimes. But it will. Because empires that rise fall.... and everything goes in cycles.
Let's see how all of us do in that....
