Gunsmithing are surgeon barrels interchangable??

will a barrel off a surgeon action fit a different surgeon with no prob? same model, just different serial #..

Yup there thread specs are right on but I have found up to .003 headspace variance between action.

I had Randy at R&D install a barrel on my 591 that Terry Cross chambered for another 591. Both smiths had the same response. Might headspace and might not. Only way you will know for sure is to try.
