You have a serious ego problem that doesn’t allow you to see reality. But you do you.
NGL man I've never met a welder that wants their kids to follow in their footsteps. Every single Software Engineer on the other hand is trying to teach their poor 8 year old how to program robots with Python.
Either way I'm guessing most of the people working in trades don't want a flood of extremely smart and skillful people suddenly competing with them for jobs. Most blue collar work takes a while to learn but almost none of it is rocket science and so long as it pays well enough to live that's sort of what we're talking about isn't it?
Automating away all the white collar work isn't going to be great for anyone.
The concept of "my job is too hard for someone else to learn how to do" is not the flex people think it is. Often these jobs are a LOT easier than people think they just SUCK and that's why noone really wants to do them.
