AT 300WM/AXMC 300WM compatibility with 7mm RM?

In 2008 Zack Smith wrote an article on how he converted his AI/AW to 7mm RM from .300WM, only needing to change the barrel as the two rounds have the same case head size, and it worked perfectly fine. After further searching I've found others who have done the same with great success.

My question is will the upcoming AT/AX 300WM variants with their double stack magazines be able to reliably feed the 7mm RM, or did the conversion Zack did only work because of the AW Single stack mag?

The double stack mag should be fine in the ax 300. I don't think there will be an at in 300 any time soon.
