I purchased an Awc TI Raider about a year and a half ago from a local dealer who was very pleased with all of his Awc cans that he's owned over the years. After several weeks of research and finding alot of bashing on them on several other websites I was very reluctant. My dealer let me shoot several of his cans and they seemed to be good cans. Very heavy duty feel to them. Good machine work, ect. Mine came in weighing 14.2 oz which I love. And I've never had a single problem with it and am very happy with it. I've never got to shoot this can against any others and would really like too. I live in Livingston parish LA which is right out of Baton Rouge and would like to meet up with other ppl with 5.56 cans and shoot one day to see what else is actually outthere before I order a large bore can. I'm shooting mine on a LWRC M6A3. What I'm not trying to do is bash some one else's can, promote mine, or get into a 3 page discussion on who is best company. Pm's welcome.
Thanks.

Re: Awc TI Raider, Baton Rouge LA area

Turbo, I own several different types of cans , AWC, AAC, Gemtech,Elite Iron and Knight's . While each one has its merits and minuses it really comes down to what the owner or operator is seeking in the units design, Whether it is a hobbyist who is just looking for the Hollywood quietest or an operator that repeatable point of impact is of more importance than a couple of decibles in sound . If you really want to sample the widest variety of top shelf units catch AAC's Suppressor Shootout next year, if it is in Memphis Ark./Tenn. next year. Just about all of the top tier manufactures are usually there with there products up for usage. As for the AWC Raider it is one of my top picks on my 5.56's and also 6.8SPC. Although they are on the heavy side they are damn near bombproof and respectably quiet . Have fun !

Thanks for the replies. I've been wanting to go to a silencer shoot but couldn't get it coordinated with my weekends off. And yes that makes since to shoot what I wanted to get to.
