I am about to "pull the trigger" on a new AX in 260. In-stock AX's have no break or threads at my vendor. I had thought that I wanted a brake..... experiences, comments would be helpful.
Thanks

I don't think a tactical rifle is complete without a threaded muzzle. A nice thread protector makes it 99.9% unnoticeable when you don't want a can or a brake on there, but gives you the flexibility of adding devices as desired.

When it doesn't hurt *anything* but creates more versalitilty and flexibility, it's a no-brainer.

Have it threaded! Get a thread protector, and decide later. I have a brake on my 5.56, and can spot my own shots, helpfull when your by yourself. If you don't, and decide later, it will cost you a pile of cash to send it to someone and get it threaded. Best of luck, J
