Good to know!I planned to sell my stock with M5 bottom and go with a McRee stock that accepts AI mags.
FWIW..... In my reloading notes I have a measure of 2.850" as maximum COAL with the AICS mags. I measured 6 different mags to determine a minimum spec that would clear them all (there were variations between the mags). That said, many have modded their mag by removing the front plate for a bit of extra room.

Now I feel like a jackass..
no worries, MacMan. many DBM systems use AI mags, though. Surgeon, V Bull, Badger, CDI, ect... i'm happy about that, as AI makes great magazines and having several of my rifles take the same magazines is nice.
