Hi Guys.

I am in the process of installing a Badger IMUNS onto my AICS 2.0 Chassis.

I tapped out the cross pin easily enough, but I can not seem to push the mounting block forward enough (per the instructions) to get the sling mount bar to come out sideways.

Has anyone here installed an IMUNS? Is there a trick to this issue (besides the use of brute force)?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Badger IMUNS AICS Chassis Installation Problem

if you have the AI bipod block (not harris). install the pibod & use it to pull the block fully forward.
under the sling loop in the pibod block is a small rubber pad to reduce sling loop rattle, this can make it quite hard to remove the sling loop.
use a soft faced malet to tap out the sling loop or alternatively put a pin punch or screw driver thru' the hole in the sling loop & pull it out.

That makes sense. I can rotate the sling mount bar slightly, but it is not budging. The rubber pad is probably the cause.

I will try using the AI bipod to pull it out when it arrives next week. Thanks!

I spent several hours last night searching the web for a solution. Nothing.

Spent a few minutes registering here and posting. Got an answer.

Re: Badger IMUNS AICS Chassis Installation Problem

I recommend you place a little oil on one side of the front sling bar (bottom which is in direct contact with the rubber pad), tap that side towards the forend, once the oil hits the pad, it will come off much easier. If you desire assistance, feel free to contact me and I will talk you through the process.
