Ok I have never tried one I think cooking it would be better. Yuck I have eaten some nasty stuff in survival courses but this would take the cake. I come across these many times and I have always wondered what they would taste like.

They get huge here.
I'd eat tree bark before I ate one, alt hough I've heard if you cook it then it's edible. I've also heard th ey have parasites beyond belief.
But if you are in an area where there are slugs then it means it's the warm season, and there is other food. They hide all winter.
Because what they eat, YOU can eat. Not necessary to eat them.
