Rifle Scopes BC Flip up sizes

Bushnell HDMR and XRS both take a 18 ocular and 44 objective. The 6-24 elite tactical (G2) takes a 14 ocular (adequately snug but not terribly tight) and 44 objective

Anyone know the size for the new Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32 FFP?

I would like to know this too please. I read in another thread that the sizes should be 14 eye, 15 obj. the eye is most definately NOT 14. I purchased one and it wont even pass the rubber ring on the eyebox of the scope. It is definately way to small. The wrong info was shared.

so what is the correct size for the eye?

Vortex Spec's say the eye piece is 1.63", BC #14's are 1.605" just a hair too small, and BC's #16 are 1.660" just an hair too big. You could measure yourself since you have the scope to confirm Vortex's number, and then look here Flip-Open Scope Covers to find the right size.

Sometimes you can boil the cover that's too tight like a 2 min egg, but not longer. That will soften it up a bit, give it a little stretch and sometimes allow fitment. For Covers that are a little too loose, just wrap about two layers of electrical tape around your eye piece and your GTG.

Thanks for the reply but what does that mean in regards to a Trijicon 5- 20 x 50

Thanks anyway..

How about for the Steiner military 3-12x50? I don't think I missed it in here. Thanks.

I have a Bushnell Elite Tactical DMR 3.5-21x50 with the 34mm main tube. Which BC flip up caps do I need?

I have the same scope. I called Bushnell since that scope wasn't listed on their chart. They told me:
obj # 44
eye # 19
I then measured the size of the obj and eye and compared it to the chart that lists size in mm and cover needed and it was exactly the same covers I was told by the Bushnell rep.

Hey, all,

I have a question with regard to the new tactical flip up covers, with the living hinge. i have a Leupold Mark 4 with a 50mm objective id like to kit out with one of the new tactical covers. I've been told i need a 44344 size, just looking for confirmation before i buy. Can anyone verify i'm getting it right?

Thanks in advance,

Paulus

Thank you! This info is GTG as I purchased these sizes today for my Bushy ERS 3.5-21x50 and they fit perfectly.

Anyone care to share how in the hell you guys get a 43ob on a NF 3.5-15x50? 18 eye is good to go but no way in shit to fit a 43 no the other end.

Anybody know the sizes for a USO 1-8s? The factory cover split on me during a cold day last winter and I'm tired of trying to keep held together with tape.

Go to Leupold website; Go to Tactical Scopes; Go to MK 6 1-6x20mm; Go to Spec's;

Objective 1.30" or 33.02mm = BC order #3A Objective
Eye Piece 1.70" or 43.18mm = BC Order #18 Eye

If you have the scope in-hand just measure the outside objective end and look at the BC Order # chart above. It should be a BC #48 Objective cover as the 3-12x56mm has a 63.7mm OD Objective according to Steiner's downloaded scope measurements.

4.5-27x56mm takes a #48 Objective. 3-18x50mm takes a #43 Objective.

BC currently does not list a eyepiece cover big enough to fit any of the Gen II's yet....

Schmidt & Bender 1.1-4 x 20 Short Dot

Objective: Butler Creek #2A (30 mm)

Ocular: Butler Creek #18 (43.2 mm)

The moving parts are the weak link for all the BC covers.

No purpose built Tennebraex available; begging AADMount to fabricate some.

A Tennebraex Trijicon ACOG 4x ocular flip cover will fit the front objective, almost; a single layer piece of tape wrapped about the circumference makes for a perfect more

secure cover up front.

How much smaller should the cover be to get a good fit? I am getting a Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56. The eyepiece is 1.81 inches and the objective is 2.55 inches.

I just picked up one of Nikon's new "Black X1000" scopes. It's a 4-16x50 X-MOA. I haven't seen any mention of this scope in this thread. Any thoughts on what BC covers might fit? Thanks!!

Anyone know what size is needed on the new Vortex Viper PST Gen II 1-6x24 and the Vortex Viper PST Gen II 2-10x32??

Anyone have any idea what the sizes are for the New Zeiss Conquest V6 3-18x50?

I thought Google or this sight would have given me better search results, but I can't find what I'm looking for. I'd like to find the thinnest objective lens caps for a Premier 3-15x50 (57mm/2.24inch). Looking to try to get it as close the rail and then see how comfortable it is. Looking to trade it between an AR and a bolt gun, so something like a Larue 1.28 QD mount might work. The standard caps are pretty thick, and if I can get some thin ones I can use a lower mount.

What are the thinnest caps that still work?

For the life of me I can't find the correct sizes for both a new Leupold VX Freedom 2-7x33 and also my ew Leupold VX3i LRP 4.5-14x50.. any help would be appreciated.

Anyone have the correct flip ups for the Viper PST Gen2, 5-25x-50? Thanks

I know you think the Vortex Defender caps are too expensive but when you are on your third set of Butler Creeks then you will learn why people are going away from them. Having used both I would never go back to Butler Creeks. Buy the Defenders and you will never need another cap again as even if you did manage to break them they are replaced under the VIP warranty.

+1. After getting my first set of vortex caps, I will never go back to BC. They make BC caps feel like toys.

Nikon FX1000 4-16x50. Vortex O-50 was a little tight on the front but works just fine, E-10 is perfect for the rear.

Looked all over Athlons site and Google and don’t find anything.
Thanks in advance.

Bought two sets of caps for my Athlon Midas Tac 6-24X50 scopes today. All that Cabela's had in stock for them were the "Multiflex", so in those the 43&44 OBJ and 19&20 EYE were what fit.

I don't. I took the scope into the store and found what fit, and all that they had that fit were the Multiflex.
If I had to guess, it would be 44 and 20. I didn't have to stretch them much to fit, but they didn't slide right on, leading me to believe that they were closer to the upper end of that size Multiflex than the lower end.

Rob01 - question on this response. For me it was not about the price but the quality of the defender caps. It's not that they are poorly made but it seemed that they were so flexible/stretchy that they do not stay in place well and they slip around and come out of position when they are opened and closed. Your experience was different than that?

I had that happen on one set and there are a couple of ways to get rid of it. Some electrical tape around the spot the cap grabs which can't be seen when the cap it on or take a little hair spray and put it on the inside of the rubber portion and install the cap. It holds it nice and snug. I tried both and like the hair spray best.

Folks any idea what size EYE and OBJ I need for a vortex diamond back tactical 4-16x44 FFP ?
