I finally got rid of the tupperware stock that came on my Remington 700 SPS-V .308 I also tried doing some camo for the first time. I used khaki, army green, and black camouflage paint from walmart. I wish the green had came out darker... Overall im satisfied with it for my first camo job. I love the way the new stock feels and the aluminum block. The barrel is also now free floating. I have not shot it yet to see how well the groups tighten up.

I covered wax paper with blue painters tape. Then I cut the wax paper with the tape to 8.5x11 or the size of a sheet of computer paper. I then drew up some shape outlines on the computer and printed them on the tape/wax paper I made. Once the ink dried I just used a razor to cut them out. Peel the tape from the wax paper and you have a perfect sticker. It was really easy.

That's cool, I am about to be painting a rifle as well and will be using that information. I am really curious to know how well the M40 stock replicates the feel and profile of a McMillian USMC M40 stock as well if anyone has any experience with it.

I put the same stock on my 700 SPS tactical 308 and it handles great. Next will be an old school leaf camo pattern paint.
