i agree with this. the bigger bullets have a higher BC, no doubt, but I've been shooting the 185 VLD's. with the speed i get out of them vs the 210 they are almost exactly the same wind drift, and less drop to around 1k yds.
now don't get me wrong, i will be building a 338 something, and will shoot the 300gr VLD's if they ever get released

so i like the heavy bullets, but i have had pretty stinking good luck to around 1k with the 185 gr vld.
it's all about give and take, speed vs drop vs wind drift vs barrel length vs barrel life vs recoil vs weight, etc, etc, etc...
