Range Report Best factory 77gr SMK for a SPR

Re: Best factory 77gr SMK for a SPR

Shooting my 16" Reece Noveske I use..
25.0gr Varget
LC brass
75gr Hornys
Br2 primers
2.255 OAL
2625fps and holds 3/4 moa out to 600m

I have a 18" SPR (WOA barrel) that shoots the same load but is no where as accurate as my 16" Reece. My 18" gets 2725fps.

If the accuracy is good I wouldn't worry about a relatively small change in velocity. A target you miss doesn't care how fast it went by.....it's only happy it went by

Southwest Ammunition Run N Gun or match 77gr SMK. Run N gun is using pulled LC brass and the same load as the match i believe. I get right around 2700 out of my BCM MK12. Run N gun is a little over 50 cents a round.
