Best mags/ place to buy mags

I just recieved my first bottom metal and now need some mags. The BM is for AI mags. Are alpha mags the same or are there other options besides AI mags?

Where's the best places (usually have them in stock) with good prices to buy from?

The only good luck I've had is with AI...
I got a couple Morta mags that have never fed reliably..ever.

That is why the Mortas are no more and they are now Alphas. A ton of work has gone into the Alphas, they are a much different animal.

There are plenty of posts on here about the Alphas and their performance.

Highly recommend the Alpha Mags. I have two of the Type 1 mags and they've run flawlessly for me since I got them back at Christmas. The AI mags are great too but my 10 rounder has been giving me issues of late in so far as picking up the last round. The 5 round AI mags are still going strong but given that the 10 round Alphas are only a smidge taller I'm running out of reasons to keep using the AI mags.

Whatever you do, don't buy a C-product AICS type mag. I bought one 5 rounder to try out and it SUCKS! My AI mags work flawlessly but I'm going to buy some Alphas from Triad.

Got to try some Alphas. Love my AI mags. But kind of pricy.

The only issue I had with the Alpha mags is they wouldnt drop free if there were rounds still in the mag. You had to grab it and forcefully pull on it. Not ideal in a match situation.

What rifle/bottom metal?

Surgeon DMB Knight. Wouldnt drop free unless the mag was empty. What I noticed is that the mags would bow on the sides causing it to grip the sides of the DBM.
