When We Left Earth (minisieries)................there's nothing more badass than Neil Armstrong himself telling you how he landed

Joe Dirt was an awsome mention.

By far not the best ever, but We're The Millers is funny as shit!

And..................as long as you never watched Friends, it's way cool to scope out Jennifer Anniston in Horrible Bosses also!!

The Conversation ( Surveillance before it was a 'thing' )

The Lives of Others ( Current affairs in Stasi-chic )

Outlaw J. Wales, aaaannd

"Git off my lawn" Gran Torino

I have to agree with @abn31c. Blazing Saddles is likely the correct answer. There will never be anything like it produced again.

Here are a couple others that always get a watch when they come on.

Red Dawn (the original)
Dumb and Dumber

Took 31 posts to see Red Dawn.
And nobody said Mad max or the Road Warrior?

"Best" is a hard one to judge, because there are so many different genre's, and in each of those, so many different tangents.

"The Accountant" for one.
"Hidden Figures" for another. Two completely different types/styles/genres, but each one is spectacularly good.

"Heat"
"The Big Red One" Again, two completely different things, yet each one individually is 'really something'.

"The Banker"
"The Day After Tomorrow"
"Boondock Saints"
"The Great Escape"
"Escape From Alcatraz"
"The Odessa Files"
"Star Wars, A New Hope"
"Smokey And The Bandit"
"Death Hunt"
"Bullett"
Are you seeing a pattern?

I can’t believe it took until #31 for Dumb and Dumber, that’s one of the best ever

Also, I second Alien and Aliens

Treasure of Sierra Madre

I came here to post Blazing Saddles

But will settle for Hear No Evil, See No Evil

Followed by Stir Crazy

Who didn’t like Stripes

And then up it with Vacation

Don’t forget 1941

Too many westerns to bother

On the less comical notes, Full Metal Jacket, Hamburger Hill, The Great Santorini, Iron Eagle were all ones I grew up on or have on repeat.

Jarhead, Hurt Locker and Shooter come to mind.for guilty pleasures

12 Strong was good too. A couple great books about it.

Round it all out let The Apple Dumpling Gang and Transylvania 65000
