Re: Best Sling for A4-A5 stocks
The TAB slings seem really great, but I dislike the way they sew down the ends, so the attachment hardware is "permanent." I know, the hardware will probably never break or need replacement, and I probably won't be changing attachment types often enough to necessitate worrying about it, but I just *like* the option of being able to change out the attachment hardware if I needed or wanted to. Also, I know TAB offers "open" end pieces, but for an added cost, and for the price of their slings, I would think they would integrate this feature as is.
I have one of the TIS slip cuff quick release slings. Very adjustable, easy to get into and out of the cuff, especially with the use of the buckle, and can be used for carry, hasty or cuff sling real easily. Plus I can swap out push-button or HK-style hook swivels no problem. I only wish they included a couple of elastic keepers like they do with their other slings, especially with the rear portion, as it is VERY long there (I have to overlap the rear portion webbing five or six times after I have it adjusted to my liking).
