Rifle Scopes Better deal than this pst gen 2?

Hey guys, got a new rifle on the way courtesy of the px and need some advice on glass. I want to keep it under 1k. I was deciding between a nightforce shv f1 and and an ares etr, but then I see this deal on eurooptics for the pst 5-25 for $791 and you get a $100 gift card. Link. For the money it seems like this pst is the way to go, just want to bounce it off you guys before I pull the trigger.

I'd like to know if this truly is a Gen2 PST and if not what's the difference? Doesn't say anywhere when generation the PST-5257-Vortex is. Gen2 is a PST-5258.

That's a gen 2. They didn't make a 5-25 gen 1

Any 5-25 pst will be a gen2. First gen was 6-24

Sweet, thanks for the replies. It's going on a tikka tac a1 that will be mostly for range fun and pre comps with a little bit of coyote/deer/hog hunting sprinkled in. will prob snag one today and use the gift card for rings.
