Better quality 6.5 and 308 barrel

Would like i out on a higher end 6.5 creed and 308 barrel for an AR10 upper.

I’ve got a BAMF 6.5 barrel thats nothing special. I also have a Seekins SP10 6 creed that’s a laser. I have a source for a Seekins 16” 308 barrel, still a Rock Creek blank and all. Would that be a decent bet?

I’ve looked at Craddock and Kreiger. Would love some other input for consideration.

I’ve had nothing but great accuracy with Seekins. Agree on Rock Creek blanks is my understanding.

Hard to go wrong with Craddock. I'm very happy with the Critierion 18" 6.5 Creedmoor I got on clearance last year. A Bartlein barrel from Craddock should fit your needs.

Id check out Proof Research. They make some nice barrels. The two that I have are tack drivers. Barrels from Craddock, Bartlein and Kreiger should also make your rifle shoot bungholes.

I can't speak to any of the other options, but it sounds like I have the same experience with my Seekins that you do with yours.

All good comments. As a barrel and scope snob, I will say that 5 years ago, I had a ver shirt list of great barrel makers. That list has grown quite a bit. Criterion continues to innovate and a value fir the money is very high.

Do not confuse the driller (blank maker) with the barrel smith who chambers and profiles.

Household names like Kreiger and Bartlein (and now many others) are the blank guys. Craddock and Compass Lake our our go-to barrel smiths fir chambering and profiling. Now, some of the blank makers also chamber and profile.

Criterion fan boy here. If you search on google for best ar10 barrels, nearly everyones list has the 6.5 creedmoor from Criterion. I have a 6.5 grendel and 223 barrel from them. Both have great accuracy with match ammo. I just ordered a .308 barrel from them as well.
