Blackhawk Knoxx Axiom Ultra - Light Rifle Stock

Anybody use or know anything about this stock? Looking to put it on a weatherby vanguard .308. Not looking to spend more on the stock than I did the whole rifle. I'm just going to use it to punch paper and steel out to 1000m. Using hornady amax handloads and a Super Sniper glass. Trying to find relatively inexpensive ways to shrink the shot group.
Also, I'm new here so not sure if this is the right place for the post, but there wasn't a components/stocks page.

Re: Blackhawk Knoxx Axiom Ultra - Light Rifle Stock

I wouldn't wast the $$$ mate, I had a Blackhawk Talon (essentially the same but thumbhole) on my .308 Howa and, well, it's not on there anymore.

I found it to be comfortable but they have (or used to have) a very flimsy front end so if your shooting off a bipod it can be a bit of a PITA, also make sure you have plenty of eye relief as I found mine moved about an inch under recoil, it also made for pretty bad muzzle jump which seemed to put the accuracy up to sh!t

If your after accuracy there's plenty of better choices out there.

Hope that helps

Yeah mate I even tried inserting a piece of 3mm alloy into the front end of mine but it was a lost cause.

I actually ended up going with a Choate Tactical stock for mine, half the price of most others, it's solid, comfortable and it's alloy bedded.

You might want to look into a bell and carlson stocks. They are in your price range and come with an aluminum bedding block. Much better than the axiom. I had an axiom and i didnt like.

Re: Blackhawk Knoxx Axiom Ultra - Light Rifle Stock

Ok, decided that with what I wanted to do, investing in a weatherby vangaurd .308 wasn't the best idea. (This rationale also helped me convince my better half) Its a great rifle for out to 500m, but I wanted something for longer ranges. So I went out and bought a Savage 10 predator hunter 1-max. Chambered in 6.5mm creedmoor.
