both are tig welded and will be finshed on lathe for gaprecisions..

maybe its cause the pics are blury but it looks like that got VERY hot. Who did the welding on that?

my wife is a certifed Govt DOD employee welder and that weld wont pass my man.

Someone needs to practice on their own!!!!!
A lathe is not required if done correctly.

Someone came to the conclusion that the screw adornments were/are an abortion.

man in defense of getting my balls broke.. i welded it with the instruction to build up the back with fillrod for extra strength and would be cleaned up with lathe and in my own defense the pics are not good at all and will post another bolt with better pics. but do like to read all opinions it helps with improvment.

May I suggest-
If GA Precision wants you to build up the aft end of the bolt handle to lesson the clearance between shroud & body-
Do it prior to attaching the handle to the bolt body.

For added strength is BS.

3 each TIG tack welds are stronger than an improperly silver brazed handle w/ screw adornments/abortions added.
