Buddy of mine just returned from a hunt way up north. The bore of his rifle has that bright orange petina of rust. The gun has had a thourgh cleaning and still has signs of small amount of rust. Any recommendations on products to remove this. Any type of bore paste or cleaner. No signs of pitting at this time.THANKS

JB regular followed by JB fine.It doesn't take much.Don't over do it.Use a bore guide.

spray the bore with WD40, and use a bronze bore brush to clean up the rust, push some dry patches through it to clean out the WD40. Then follow up with a solvent and dry patches
