Gunsmithing Brake and shims

Re: Brake and shims

I have had zero problems with my Tubb SpecTacLr. The Tubb gun has quite a bit of the barrel threaded. There is a nut which threads on first then the brake. You can position the brake where you want it. I also use the nut the "snug" up to the suppressor with a great deal of success. On another rifle I had a suppressor that didn't want to stay tight. I thought a spring or wave washer would be a good idea/fix for the loose suppressor. Boy was I wrong on that deal. With the addition of only a wave washer turned a very accurate rifle into an absolute TURD. At the end of the day I have had more success using spacers/washers getting the suppressor or brake to time up.
