Brux just charged my account for my barrel so it should be here shortly. It's a #7 Krieger contour that will finish at 26" with a .750 muzzle diameter.
I was looking for a brake that I can put on it at the range, but can pull off and thread on a cap for hunting.
I was looking at the APA little bastard but it said that it shouldn't be turned down past .9 for magnum calibers for performance reasons and mine is going to be chambered for 7mm Rem Mag.
Any recommendations for a brake that will flow nicely from barrel to brake, and that is not 360 degrees like a Vias break, and that can be spun off and on depending on what the rifle is doing?
Also for you gunsmiths what do you use to make your thread protectors for a threaded barrel? left over bits of barrel? care to sell a piece?
