I picked up a Dicks special 223 Varmint back in the fall. I ended up with $400 in it. I bought a B&C pillar bedded stock off of eBay for $40. Glass bedded the rifle to it. Added a used Timney for $85, an EGW 15 moa base for $15, and an L&S Ultra m1 10x scope off of a trade. I sent the scope back to leupold and they went through and replaced the objective lens for free. Oh yeah, I did buy the Burris rings. I think they were $40. So far, talley is at $540. I guess I need to add in the bedding and the Duracoated for about $40.
So far I have been able to achieve 3/4" groups. I plan to try some of the Tubb bullets and see if that has any impact.
The Molan lobe is painted in to the scheme. Let me know what you think.
