By just trimming, (assuming you have sorted bullets by bearing surface) you have just effectively reduced the BC, BUT made it consistant.
Me personally, I would JUST tip the boolits vs JUST trimming, because it will slightly increase BC, while getting the BC's pretty damn close at the same time.
If you are looking for the ultimate in consistancy of BC, than you obviously gotta sort bullets by bearing surface and trim and point accordingly.
I've been using the Whidden Pointer since it first came out, and I also purchased the Montour Trimmer. I have found that for what I do, which is local Tac matches, just tipping has been the way to go for me. It is fast, easy, and real consistant. Obviously if I was shooting F-class, I would trim too.
