I guess I see this different than the OP. The message they are saying to you, as a customer, is "if you like us existing as a resource for you (which you clearly do because you just ordered something from us), then you need to understand that some politicians are trying to destroy our business. We ask you for your support in fighting against these people that are trying to shut our industry down".
Doesn't seem to me like an unreasonable message to send to customers at all. What should they do, keep quiet, don't inform customers they are under attack, and then just close the place down and leave the customers wondering what happened to that place next time they are looking for something?

If a person, that is already a part of that community, gets abused because they have a slightly different viewpoint, that person will leave.
This type of behaviour will only detract from promoting shooting sports and will only make the community smaller, not larger.

The company's are simply sending you a ping just to make sure you are a friend and will help by voting for your the politicians that won't put them out of business. Yeah it sucks that everything has to be political these days but that's just the word we live in today. "They" just want us fighting because that's how "they" make their money and stay in office. Their biggest fear is that we unite against them.
It's a simple fact that democrats introduce thousands of anti-gun bills every year. I can count on one hand the anti gun bills that Republicans wrote. It's common sense who is on the better side.
It baffles my mind that somone could vote for a Democrat and own any kind of firearm. Generally I don’t think companies should get into politics as a general rule as it isn’t good for business, ie Benchmade, North Face, Patagonia, and Coke. However, gun related businesses rely on the right politics to stay open. To be a 2A advocate, you have to be right leaning. If you vote democrat, you are the enemy of those companies. Democrats literally campaign on abolishing the 2A. Therefore, these companies WANT you to know that they are on your side.
