I’ve said for a long time - well documented here that one of the reasons the cartels and larger international gangs are pretty much hands off is that they generate a lot or revenue from feds all the way down to the small town LEO.

Years back there was that sheriff Aprrio (spelling ?) in AZ Americas toughest sheriff they called him - and he never played along with the cartels and the smugglers and the invaders - so they had him sent to prison- because he locked up criminals, even the profitable ones. Trump pardoned him in the first term .

But the message was sent - arrest these criminals and go to prison.
