Can you retrofit backpack straps to a drag bag?

I picked up a North Star Tactical at a local gun shop today. It was well priced at $89 and seemed to be of high quality so I went for it. Not sure if this brand is any good or not but this is my first bag of the type so I'm still learning the ins and outs and everything one can do with it. It's set up almost identical to the Tac Force Stryker sans one thing.

I'm not particularly fond of the strap for carrying it over your shoulder. The single strap, whether slung on your shoulder or across your chest, does not displace weight well and makes it a little awkward to carry. After about 10 minutes of use, I noticed some redness on the back of my right shoulder like you would get after a few sets of squats.

This bag has the same velcro pocket running along the backside as the Tac Force that tucks the strap out of the way when not in use.

Is there any way I can retrofit backpack style straps to this bag? If not I'm gonna return it because it's way too difficult to hump the way it is.

FWIW I have an AR10 and Savage 308 in it with some other essentials.

i'm sure you can add the pack straps but for the price you can get a good VooDoo for 140.00 or even the one Midway USA sells for 99.00 and will do the same with less aggravation.

If you are emotionally "all in" to converting this ?two-rifle? drag bag to a back pack, you might want to start with a frame and straps and devise a way to link to drag bag to the frame instead of experimenting to find the right location / technique to apply straps directly to the pack.

This is good advice. I've never been a fan of carrying a loaded drag bag myself, but if you must, the addition of the frame to support the bag & transfer the weight to your hips would be a huge plus.

I can't remember for the life of me who it was on here that just designed a drag bag / frame setup with a removable pack over the top. It totally kicked ass! Someone will chime in with who it was I suspect, but it would be something to look into, if for no other reason than to see how he did it.

I looked the company up and stumbled across a youtube video with a demonstration. Looked like SHOT show maybe? But I'm a little confused. Is that frame proprietary and do I have to buy the bag with it?
