What makes the biggest difference when trying to get MV, SD, and ES in line:
Consistent neck tension
Case weight
Internal volume (by weight)

Background:
I'm reloading 243 for a new rifle. I have broke in the barrel. Round count is 110. I was working up 105gr HPBT but it wouldn't stabilize in my 9 1/8 twist barrel. So , I have Berger 90gr target bullets coming in today. I ran everything through the calculator and that is the heaviest bullet with best BC that would stabilize in that barrel.

I'm using the Lee Deluxe die's and Federal primers.

What SD and ES is acceptable?

Id say neck tension would have the most bearing on SD & ES, as far as not getting the HPBTs to stabilize in 9 1/8 twist, that seems odd since I had no problems shooting them in my 6MMREM with the same twist, though it might have something to do with the 243 not pushing them fast enough, I was getting about 2950 in my 6mm, it also shot the Hybrids very well, got a nice 3.5" group with Hybrids out to 600yds last year. Primers can have some bearing on getting lower SD & ES, too.
