Its a r700 first off and while I've got the barrel off I started thinking about refinishing the action and bolt while I could get them in the oven if need be for one of the bake on spray finishes available.
Then I ran across Caswells website and found their simple sounding Teflon/nickel coating kit for a reasonable price but have no clue if it would be worth or even intelligent to dip my action and bolt in this stuff. Just wondering if anyone else has had any personal experience with this type thing.
And I know "if I have to ask I should probably send it to a professional" and I may well do that yet, but I actually enjoy refinishing all different types of things so I hope this is something that is as simple as it sounds.
