CCI BR4 1k (Limit 1) on Midway 3/19 9:05 PT

Turns out there's another thread with other folks getting the same error, I just threw this up as soon as I saw it in case it actually worked. This is our life now...

would not let me check out with the BR4, but they have Winchester small rifle military showing mixed, let me check out with a brick

I got some winchester 41s from midway today, they actually sat in my cart for a few minutes too. I got tired waiting for it to load in the middle of working on the water heater so I sat it down and then came back to it. Looks like the ar15 seasons back on for the pigs.

60 bucks plus the hazmat came to 92 bucks though. Sorta was hoping theyd get taken out of my cart at that price. These better not be like the other leaking winchester primers Ive loaded before.

I'll just walk into Bi-Mart and pull them off the shelf.

Are the 450s that much better for 6.5 creed ? Where I live, I have no problems getting Rem 7 1/2 and BR4s. I generally use the 7 1/2 for my 223 match and plan to use the BR4s for the 204 Ruger. I use Fed 205m on my 300blk bolt gun for subsonics.

I honestly couldn’t say, I haven’t gone so far as to test different primers. Right now I’d happily buy 205M if they were priced similarly to the 450s, but I’m not desperate enough to pay the premium on the BR4s. Couldn’t speak at all to the 7-1/2’s, but they don’t seem nearly as popular in the 6/6.5 precision world.

I’ve had great results with 7-1/2’s with 6/6.5. However I understood they were discontinued. I’ve actually decided to save them for my 6.5 loads and have switched over to CCI 450’s for my 6 Dasher. All other loads (5.56 / 300 BLK) will get CCI 41’s or the new Winchester 41’s that I picked up (haven’t tested yet).

I have 1,000 BR4’s but haven’t decided what I’ll load them in...I don’t like switching primers for precision so I’ll need to find 2-3k more before I switch.

@st1650 ...do you mind sharing your location and if they are old stock vs. new? It would be good to know if in fact they haven’t been discontinued.

I'm in Canada ... maybe old 2020 stock. Very cheap prices though, I think I paid like 35usd for 1k of 7 1/2

Y ou have to try them and see what results you get. It is not a yes or no answer.
