Rifle Scopes Chin weld instead of cheek weld?

I had a 2.5-10x32 NF on My POF 308. I decided to put that scope on my 10/22 and put a 3.5-15x56 on the .308. I end up having to use a chin weld instead of a cheek weld, because the center of the scope is about 1.5" above the stock.

Will this be a issue?

Not so much if you have the paralax adjusted correctly but you could always get a stock pack.

On my duty Colt AR, I have a 4X ACOG and a Docter optic on top. For the scope, I can use a perfect cheek weld. For the Docter optic, I need to use a chin weld. It works fine, but requires practice to make a fast switch from one to the other.

Took a class with Rob Pincus this past spring when he did a training here in VT for several area departments. During the (excellent) class, he suggested I move the Docter to 45 degrees, but I haven't found a suitable mount. He didn't suggest it for lack of hitting targets, but because move from one optic to the other was wasted movement. Which his definitely right.

So far, still using chin weld for red dot and hitting effectively. So it will work, if not a perfect situation.

Magpul PRS with one of POF's 308 rifle buffers and spring.
If you have any clearance between the objective and rail measure it and get rings that much lower than you've got.

I know folks that have even machined out the rail under the objective to get lower.

Me, when I get a POF I plan on using a USO 37mm ERGO......

Thanks for the help. Mounted the scope. Will have to see how this works out. May go back to the 2.5-10x32 in the future if this one doesn't work as expected.

I can barely get a butler creek on it, so it is low enough. (1.375 unimout, perfect fit just like the 2.5-10x32 with .885 rings.

I think the PRS adj. comb sits too far back due to charging handle clearance. I have one on my .223 POF.
